ETM direct drive motors are based on patented transverse flux technology to have up to 10 times more electromagnetic poles.
Both motors have electromagnetic “poles” arranged to drive the rotary motion. Direct drive motors have far more poles – up to ten times more on the same size motor – so they produce far more torque, even at low speeds.
